Hi, thanks for the question.

From my testing, it appears that this is somewhat normal behavior when the window is not wide enough for the output. In my case the version numbers wrapped without cutting them off halfway.

In your screenshot it looks more like the window width was adjusted after the output was printed, in which case there is nothing can be done.

As for an option to control the formatting in the terminal, that is not something I have capacity to work on at the moment, but it's not out of the question for a PR. It would need a bit of refinement to determine the exact rule that would be applied and how it would handle different cases. It may also depend on the terminal you are using.

I didn't touch the window size after the command that's why i posted it because I didn't have that until today
Formatting was one line and today when I tried I got this result without resizing the window.
Using ghosty on Mac and zsh if that can help

Thanks. If this just started happening it must be a regression of some sort, but it's hard to know if it is in npm-check-updates or ghostty. Can you confirm that the output is correct in a previous version of npm-check-updates?

i just tried up to v.17.1.12 and it seems to be a terminal issue, not version.

i get the problem even on older version of the package. i think we can close this since it's not an issue with the package itself it looks like.
