The reason behind this PR is that I want to make my URLs look like:

https://foo.com/app/!#some/route

I need to be able to change the hash symbol.

TODO:

  • Test this PR properly
  • Add docs

@Nyholm there were couple of tests broken after the last merge. I fixed the tests and wrote one more covering the custom hash string. Can you please try 4.3.0 version and let me know if it works properly for you.
