  • Avoid naming conflicts for properties. E.g. an interface can have a readonly property but a class can have the same property with read / write access.
  • If there are two diffent methods with the same signature on a class / interface they could have different implementations. Using explicit interface implementations allows the user to access the implementation which is wanted.
