macos-latest is only available as arm64. Currently, there is some problem that libraries like GLib are not found anymore. This probably happens because the brew installation path is different between intel / arm based systems (/opt/homebrew for Apple Silicon, /usr/local for macOS Intel). Setting DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH to "/opt/homebrew/lib" or "/opt/homebrew" did not help. So we fall back to macos 12.
