Hi, I'm Andrew Weatherman!

Public Policy alumnus of Duke University
Former student manager for Duke Men's Basketball

I currently work as the Coordinator of Coaching Analytics for the New York Knicks -- so much of my public work, including cbbdata, cbbplotR, my Substack, and my Twitter, is no longer maintained or active.

My past work:

  • gtUtils, an R package providing themes and extensions to the popular gt package.
  • cbbdata, a Flask-based API servicing 16 years of college basketball data + an accompanying R package.
  • cbbplotR, an R package offering ggplot2 geoms, scales, and elements + gt utility functions for plotting college basketball team and conference logos + player headshots.
  • Writing a blog with visualization and analysis walk-throughs and code

My toolbox:

linux Python MySQL Git Tableau
