What's up?

As everyone already knows there have been a few issues here and there with the exercise notebooks which have resulted in a few questions being unfair or incorrectly graded. We need to compile a list of them so that we can take action on them either by fixing them or by awarding everyone credit for them.

Let's use this thread to dump a list of all the exercises that have issues. If you have been one of the unfortunate souls that spent too long on an exercise only to find out that there was an error in the grading logic or the question itself rather than your code, contribute by doing the following:

Leave a comment on this thread with the following information

  1. Which specialization it occurred on
  2. Which BLU
  3. Which question
  4. What the error was
  5. If an issue has been opened about it, link to it

  2. BLU: BLU08
  3. Question: Q7
  4. Error: Unable to pass assert due to numerical rounding errors.
  5. Link: Q7: abs_tol inside the assert - Status: Closed
  6. Solution proposed: change abs_tol=1e-7 to abs_tol=1e-6 in the assert.
