Capture and move all of the wonderful info from the extui README into its own MD file, to be further refined and possibly transferred to a Wiki. This allows merging the refactored UI project into the main extui branch, without losing this important info.
Clarified the Credits section, post-merge
1. Change 45_icons.icl to 42_toggles.icl, as the source of the graphics for the slicer override ON/OFF button (Was trying to display icons 9/10 and there is no icon 9) 2. Nudge the TMC ON/OFF toggle down, to hide the dashed lines 3. Nudge the LED ON/OFF toggle down and right, to hide the dashed lines
…aced When the refactored UI PR was merged into extui, a large amount of useful but outdated info was removed. This commit preserves that info but renames the file and removes some front-matter that no longer belongs in there. Thinkersbluff is presently reorganizing and updating this info into a series of short documents, which may fit best into a Wiki format. (TBD).
Updates the graphic showing the DGUS project open in the DGUS Tool
Updated the DGUS Tool number and screen capture to 8.2.1.14.
Goal is to help users and troubleshooters determine which display firmware has been flashed. Introduction of this refactored version introduces that extra risk of uncertainty, while both versions are "in the wild".
Introduced new numbering at this release. Branded the load screen and the info screen Added release# to the README file Intended to add confidence and reduce confusion. Will backfire if loose control and does make developer workflow more complicated. Hoping on balance is right thing to do.
Seemed important to mention to users to look for the rc brand. Noticed some date stamps not identical between build and release archives. Updated archive for certainty.
