Thanks for the great work! I'm currently using editR to document research, and am quite happy with it. We are considering using it as a standard for research notebooks in our lab, but are not sure about it's future. Can you comment on the expected solvency of this project? Is this project still being actively maintained, or was it really just a demo/experiment?

More immediately, are there options that can be set in the .editR file, or perhaps elsewhere? In particular, I would like for the web view to open in preview mode only. Is that possible?

thanks,
Jeremy

@jet1966 This is an excellent question. So far editR has been a one man effort and this one man has a lot of other projects on his plate unfortunately. At the moment, I cannot make editR a priority and unless someone else helps me with developing the software further, it will remain in the current state. I will certainly try to keep the project alive, but it will be by random bursts, when I can get a long break from work.

@jet1966 Hi Jeremy,
If you're still interested in the idea please email me what "preview mode only" would look like - I'm not sure if that's to view only the preview pane (with no markdown editor pane), or to have it read only, or... think email would be better than spamming Simon on the issues page :-)
Thanks!
Louis

@lmmx I think we should keep the discussion public here, in case other people would like to give their opinion. We can create an issue for each desired feature and just tag them with the enhancement label for instance.
