Description

Test: Deactivate press series
Status: Passed

A series can be deactivated. When a series is deactivated, it does not appear on the 'Make a Submission' page. However, submissions can still be assigned to it with the series tagged as 'inactive.' The series tag also appears on the landing page when published.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Login with press manager
  2. Create a series
  3. Deactivate the series
  4. Go to Submission>Publication>Catalog Entry
  5. Notice the series tagged as ‘inactive’
  6. Select the series and save without any errors.
  7. Publish the content
  8. Notice the tag in the book landing page.

Expected Result

The system should not allow assigning submissions to an inactive series.

Actual Result

The system allows assigning submissions to an inactive series.

This could arguably be intentional; it's important to prevent authors from submitting to a deactivated series, but the editor may still have valid reasons for doing so.
