Getting access to Github as a student

Hi everyone,

I have a previously created Github account and in 2024 started an MSc Software Development at Queen's Uni Belfast. I have applied to Github Education for student status and a free pro login. My student status appears to be verified, but I cannot see where the benefits are applied. Any help welcome.

What's the status of your application?

If the label is green and states "Congrats! Your request for @sgcoding2016 was approved and your benefits will be available soon. that means you have to wait. It usually takes a few days, but sometimes it can take a little longer, even a couple of weeks; the waiting time may vary depending on different factors, such as the volume of requests.

If the label is purple and states "Congrats! Your request for @sgcoding2016 was approved and your benefits are now available.", that means you should have access to your benefits. To redeem them go to the pack offers page, scroll down to the "All offers" section and select one of the available offers, for example Copilot, if you still experience problems afterwards, I suggest you to contact support by opening a ticket here, select "I am a verified student having trouble redeeming my Global Campus offers" and explain your issue.

Hey @samus-aran, correct, I'm using Saved Replies feature, I just change the username or the context of the answer a little bit depending on the exact topic of the discussion.

I have 6 saved replies in total, 3 related to the Student Developer Pack benefits and 3 for a few general FAQs here in the Community related to GitHub Pages and profile contributions.
