'Recommended' section poster view does not change to landscape after configured under Settings/Customize on iPad Air 4

Describe the bug

Under Settings/Customize, there is a setting to configure the 'Recommended' section poster view to be either Portrait (default) or Landscape.
When I change this setting to Landscape, and open the overview page of any movie, it does not take effect. The 'Recommended' posters are still in Portrait mode. I go back to settings to check and the value is still 'Landscape'.
This happens on iPad Air 4 (iPad OS 17.3.1), but not on iPhone 12 (iOS 17.3.1).
