When working collaboratively especially in real-time, it’s not uncommon for synchronization issues to occur when two or more people edit the same line simultaneously.
To address this, I propose implementing a mechanism that:
Locks a line or section of text when a user begins editing it.
Displays a visual indicator to others that the line is currently being edited by someone else.
Allows the lock to automatically release when the user finishes editing or becomes inactive for a period of time.
This feature would make collaboration among the team smoother by minimizing conflicts, preserving everyone’s contributions and saving time that would otherwise be spent resolving these synchronization problems manually.
