Description

The goal of this issue is to assess interest and have a pre-allocation of batch6's
teaching work. In parallel, we can discuss other improvements to the process, but
this will make it easier to jump on the work as early as possible.

The units, overall work needed and rough release and delivery dates are listed
below.

hey! I'm adding my interest to help out in the Bootcamp and Specialization 06! I won't be able to lead though!

Given that I've been trying to organize S06 Curriculum, which is missing, I can volunteer to lead this Specialization. I won't be able to participate in other specializations, with the exception of the Bootcamp, due to the time requirement needed.

Also, I'm suggesting @thecarolmartins for SLU17! ;)

Hi! I would also be happy to help in the Bootcamp and in some Specialization (I prefer 3 or 5, but I'm open to others as well).

As Rui & Fred won't be able to help out with Hackathon 2, but my colleagues wanna help with Spec 2, and they are open to the idea of leading them. Will drop you some DM regarding this.

And I can help with the Bootcamp! :)

Hi all, this year I will not be contributing to the LDSA. But I believe the learning notebooks that I previously worked on should be pretty "stable", in the sense that not much should need to change, so they should be relatively easy for someone else to take on.

@FredericoCoelhoNunes thank you, Fred! Please still contribute to our beer SLU. You are always welcomed :)

Agree with @cimendes. Capstone is much longer and heavier than other Specializations. We really need a dedicated team for this, from creating the challenge, QA to Grading. If we wait until the end, we'll end up having to find instructors urgently. Extremely likely that the ones who end up helping have already contributed to previous Specs 😞 And this can be a lot to take on for a few people.

Hi, I will only be available after July 15, so I'll probably just do QA this year, and help with HCK an so on :) (sorry for the late reply was waiting for the exam dates to be out)

Hi @anaritarc we're discussing potentially starting later this year, aligned with the school year, so I think things will start more or less around that time. If that's the case, any unit you would like to take on any unit?

@anaritarc

Good news!! I'll do the tree based models then 😊

Hey @cimendes!

I add my name to the table on the QA 😊 but I can help on other SLUs or if anyone would like to do the QA for those that I select I can change without problem

Hello everyone,

This year I won't be able to help creating new materials, :(
To compensate... I will dedicate my available time to doing better QA. :)

Already assigned to SLU18 & SLU19 and ready to assume other specs, also.
Any needs, please call me <3

@Jujulian3 SLU18 and SLU19 are optional so they probably won't receive a lot of changes. Can I convince you to take an SLU from the bootcamp? 😜

I didn't notice, sorry 🤦🏽‍♀️

I won't be able to join the BootCamp presentations
but already took QA for SLU01, SLU13, and SLU14

Thx

@anaritarc there's a material somewhere on the ldssa drive with suggestions for improvement and there is the suggestion for crowd qa. We could try it on the rest of the materials - separate the qa on the learning materials and the exercises and have all the exercise notebooks reviewed by a group of the same 3-4 people.

@anaritarc
Copy link

I'm not sure we are able to have so many people working on QA (at least this year), I was thinking having a person for QA3 (we have QA1, QA2 and QA3), we have to 'recruit' more people
