I've completed a significant refactor of the project’s codebase, and I need your help to test for any issues. Please try it out on the refactoring branch and report any problems you encounter here.

Note: The fulfilment of feature requests will be paused until the refactoring branch is merged into the dev branch. Any pull request should also be based on the refactoring branch.
